Janet established Transitionz because she saw a real need to provide career counselling and ongoing mentoring services to people who were experiencing a wide variety of difficulties and changes in their working lives. Her own background includes teaching, community group leadership, not-for-profit management, and political involvement. Having lived in a variety of locations in New Zealand as well as overseas for several years, she is particularly aware of the additional challenges associated with relocation and cultural adaptation.
Many of the principles she is guided by as a career consultant, have been applied in her own life. She has found them to be tremendously empowering and exciting. Having experienced first hand the need to reinvent herself and re-establish new career paths, she fully engages and identifies with others who are seeking to do the same.
She has a range of qualifications in both teaching and business management, and has added career counselling to her skill set, in order to be better equipped to offer a range of uniquely tailored services to her growing client base.
