TEXAS GIRL

I am Jenny Penny - an escape artist. I planned my escaped from a small English village in the Midlands to London by becoming a teacher. Living life in the Big City transpired to be inadequate and not meet the restless need of my travel addiction so I escaped again.
This time I escaped to the traveler’s paradise: I became a flight attendant on Britain’s international airline. After three foot-loose years, half a million air miles, and twenty countries, I escaped again; this time into matrimony.

But matrimony with careful selection: from those that had offered, I chose the one that had not. This one, I had to pursue to Singapore where he was serving my Queen as a fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force. You may well ask why my escape plan encompassed one who did not volunteer. The response is simple: in forty-eight years since my capture, this innocent has transported me through four pregnancies and fifty-nine countries. And the journey continues to this day.

My joy is the simple act of sharing those experiences that might, in a glimpsing moment, bring benefit to others. A wonderful recent verification of my joy was a retirement celebration in which others confessed to vicariously living through my journeys and my love for travel.
